Columbia Icefields

The Columbia Icefields, Alberta, Canada, between Banff and Jasper. It covers 125 square miles and up over 1000′ deep in places. It gets up to 280″ of snow each year. When we arrived at Honeymoon Lake in the Columbia Icefields just south of Jasper, Alberta, Canada, it looked like a lovely lake. But at sunset it was transformed to the most remarkable mirror image. Across the lake was a bear I spotted with binoculars.
